SIGDA Chair's Welcome Message

Welcome to ACM's Special Interest Group on Design Automation! We are happy that you have decided to visit us in our virtual home and find out more about our mission, the events we sponsor, and programs we support.

ACM's SIGDA is the main resource for Electronic Design Automation (EDA) professionals and it is only natural that its mission is to promote and increase awareness of EDA as one of the disciplines in the general computer science and engineering area. Without EDA tools and companies, none of the progress we have experienced in computing and electronics would have been possible. With the prevalence of new computing paradigms or unconventional technologies, EDA becomes even more important in a priori analysis and optimization of complex systems, as well as in making sure electronic products meet design and time-to-market constraints.

ACM/SIGDA sponsors all main EDA conferences and symposia, while also providing its members discounted rates for these events, participation in professional development programs, as well as a wide range of publications in printed or electronic form. Averaging more than two events per month, dozens of opportunities to enhance one's knowledge in EDA, and sponsoring numerous programs supporting students, ACM/SIGDA is the professional society of choice for the EDA professional.

Feel free to explore our website and the many resources available here! We hope you will decide to join us in an exciting new era of growth in EDA.
